Kuroiwa Squad

Operating under the CCG, this squad answered to Special Class Iwao Kuroiwa. It fielded a mix of named and unnamed investigators and stayed active through some of the organization's largest operations. Following the death of its commander, both the leadership and the current fate of the team became unclear.

The unit saw heavy action across the CCG's biggest offensives. During the fighting in the 11th ward, Kuroiwa and Misato Gori served with the 11th Ward Special Countermeasures Unit; Gori helped defeat the Bin brothers and the ghouls under them while serving beneath Mutsumi Chino, and Kuroiwa took on the Non-Killing Owl together with Yukinori Shinohara and Take Hirako. In the Owl Suppression Operation the team was folded into Squad 1, where Kuroiwa led the push against Yoshimura and the others confronted the Black Dobers and Apes. That engagement cost Kuroiwa his left arm. Later, its investigators worked to reclaim the 22nd Ward Branch Office after the Clowns stormed it.

Iwao Kuroiwa commanded the squad until his death. Its roster held Misato Gori along with Kuramoto Itou and Takeomi Kuroiwa, both of whom transferred over from the Itou Squad, as well as four unnamed investigators.
