Its debut comes in the ninth chapter of :re, as three investigators, Haise Sasaki, Tooru Mutsuki, and Ginshi Shirazu, stop in for coffee. Later on the place becomes more than a cafe, doubling as a hideaway for those tied to the Goat organization.
Role
The shop does not survive. An ambush aimed at Shinsanpei Aura and Tooru Mutsuki eventually leaves it in ruins. Its emblem is worth a note: the colon's upper dot is dark while the lower is pale, an echo of the uneven stare a one-eyed ghoul carries, with the letters spelling its name set just after. The cafe also has a real-world root, modeled on a Tokyo spot named MUSEUM Cafe and diner that has since shut down, and the syllable re happens to mean king in a few languages, Maltese among them.
