Suzuya Squad

Suzuya Squad is a fighting unit inside the Commission of Counter Ghoul, commanded by First Class investigator Juuzou Suzuya and rounded out by roughly five operatives. When Kishou Arima died and the Arima Squad broke away, this team inherited the prestigious S3 designation. That new incarnation, still under Suzuya, transferred over to the Tokyo Security Committee, where it stands as a spearhead of the agency's protective efforts.

During the Skull Masks case, the squad joined a briefing on a ghoul gang whose ranks and hunting territory had swelled, and they resolved to bring down its leader. Splitting apart to gather leads, Suzuya and Hanbee Abara trailed a reeking, shady old man, only for that target to be assaulted by the gang's chief. The two closed in but found themselves hemmed in by a crowd of ghouls; when the leader wrecked Suzuya's weapon mid-fight, Hanbee drove his katana quinque through the enemy's back to finish him. A trip to a donut shop followed.

At the auction cleanup, the team arrived after Tooru Mutsuki and Kuki Urie failed against Big Madam, and Suzuya's Jason quinque let them dispatch the SS-rated ghoul with ease before they withdrew to rejoin the wider force. That victory raised the squad's standing across the CCG. Suzuya rose to Special Class at just twenty-two, ranking among the organization's mightiest, while Keijin Nakarai advanced to First Class and the rest reached Rank 1. Later, in the Rushima landing, they wore down the SS-rate ghoul Kurona Yasuhisa, nicknamed Floppy, in a brief clash.

Its active lineup pairs Juuzou Suzuya as leader with Keijin Nakarai as his deputy, backed by Hanbee Abara, Mizurou Tamaki, and Miyuki Mikage. Two earlier additions, Tooru Mutsuki and Shinsanpei Aura, served on loan, the latter borrowed from the Quinx Squad, and both eventually abandoned the CCG. The group is among the rare few whose entire membership lived to the story's close, which secured its place as the lead security detail of the freshly created TSC.
