Having come to see Yoshimura's point of view, he believes he can still reach his aims by working alongside him, and he asks the others to come with him. Banjou, his subordinates, and Hinami all pledge to follow, and when Tsukiyama asks to join too, Kaneki grants it despite not trusting him. Touka, meanwhile, is left wondering whether Kaneki will truly come back.
At the CCG, Amon hands Akira a keychain shaped like Maris Stella. She praises it as looking refined and clever, and notes it is the first present she has ever gotten from a man besides her father.
Yoshitoki and Marude weigh the Owl Suppression Operation, with Yoshitoki calling it a hard assignment and asking Marude to serve as his vice-commander, which Marude readily accepts. Elsewhere Roma and Enji press Yoshimura on what passed between him and Kaneki; he answers that the choice to return is Kaneki's, though he expects him to.
