Chapter 125

Kaiko presses Yoshimura about a child, warning that the child and Aogiri Tree have upset the balance V works to hold. He frames the child's very existence as Yoshimura's betrayal of V and issues a last warning. Yoshimura denies fathering any child or knowing anything of the One-Eyed Owl. Kaiko and the V agents withdraw, telling him there is nowhere left for him to run.

Yoriko and Touka plan an outing to the zoo and talk about college. Meanwhile Yomo presses Kaneki to disappear, since the CCG is likely closing on Anteiku, and mentions a large-scale operation. Kaneki asks whether they will see each other again once it is over, and Yomo answers yes.

At Anteiku, Yoshimura looks back fondly on the staff. Together with Irimi and Koma he readies the shop for the coming assault, cleaning and destroying documents, and he tells Yomo to look after Touka and Nishiki. At the CCG, Yoshitoki gives the command to begin the Owl Suppression Operation.

Kaiko delivers V's final ultimatum, branding the hidden child as Yoshimura's betrayal, while Yoshimura denies everything. Yomo urges Kaneki to go into hiding and promises they will meet again. Yoshimura, Irimi, and Koma prepare Anteiku for the raid and destroy sensitive documents, and Yoshimura entrusts Touka and Nishiki to Yomo. Yoshitoki orders the Owl Suppression Operation to commence.
