The fifteenth chapter of Tokyo Ghoul stages the cruel death of Ryouko Fueguchi at Mado's hands, as she shields Hinami and Kaneki arrives too late to do anything but spare the girl the sight of it.
Holding up Asaki Fueguchi's mask before Ryouko, Kureo Mado asks her for a moment of her time to answer questions. As bystanders gather, Amon declares plainly that he and Mado are investigators and orders everyone to clear out. Terrified, Hinami grips her mother, who tells her to run before unleashing her kagune. Some distance away, Kaneki heads home from Anteiku and overhears passersby gossiping about a ghoul sighting; picking a dropped card off the ground, his thoughts turn to Hinami.
Mado quickly reads that Ryouko has little combat experience and poor control of her kagune, and voices his loathing for ghouls who mimic humans even as she sacrifices herself for her daughter. Drawing his quinque, he goads her to pour out her hatred and despair. Frantic, Kaneki tries phoning Yoshimura in vain and questions whether he could change anything by rushing over, but when Hinami's voice reaches him, he and the girl race toward her mother.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
The mother and daughter at the center of Chapter 15 are Ryouko Fueguchi and her young daughter Hinami Fueguchi, whom Kureo Mado corners and questions before Ryouko sacrifices herself to protect Hinami.
In Chapter 15, Hinami's mother Ryouko Fueguchi is cornered by investigator Kureo Mado, who goads her into revealing her kagune before beheading her while Hinami and Kaneki can only watch.
Kureo Mado holds up Asaki Fueguchi's mask before Ryouko Fueguchi and asks for a moment of her time to answer questions, while Koutarou Amon orders bystanders to clear the area.
Arriving too late to stop Ryouko's death, Ken Kaneki covers Hinami's eyes so she is spared the sight of her mother being killed.
Kaneki is walking home from Anteiku when he overhears passersby gossiping about a ghoul sighting and picks up a dropped card, his thoughts turning to Hinami just before her voice reaches him.
