Mado, awed by the strength of Hinami's kagune, tries to claim her as his next weapon and is cut down by Touka. Kaneki, meanwhile, loses control of his hunger and wounds Yomo, who steadies him before the killing is done.
Hinami Fueguchi begs Kureo Mado to stop hurting Touka Kirishima, but he grasps that the girl managed to sever his hand from a distance, just as her mother and father once could, and he judges her kagune to have outstripped both parents. Coveting it, he demands to forge her kagune into his own quinque, discards the weapon he holds, and reaches out to seize her, only for Hinami to resist at once.
Elsewhere, Koutarou Amon questions why Kaneki spared him and doubts a ghoul would truly cry, dismissing the plea as a ghoul's deception before setting off toward Mado. Kaneki struggles to rein in his kagune, lurching between control and raw hunger. When Renji Yomo approaches, Kaneki attacks him without thinking, piercing his torso. Realizing what he has done, Kaneki is calmed when Yomo hands him a parcel of human meat.
Hinami has left Mado in critical shape. He insists on making her his quinque yet again, and Touka urges her to finish the man who was her parents' killer. Hinami answers that she never sought revenge, only mourned the loneliness her parents' deaths left behind. Mado calls her reasoning repugnant and tries to strike once more, but Touka slits his throat before he can.
Mado, obsessed with claiming Hinami's superior kagune as a quinque, lunges at her and is fatally cut down when Touka slashes his throat. Kaneki, losing himself to hunger, accidentally impales Renji Yomo, who calms him with a portion of human flesh. Hinami reveals that grief, not revenge, has driven her all along.

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
