Chapter 59

When Yoshimura raises the chance that Anteiku may never reach Kaneki again, Touka is stunned and Nishiki erupts, demanding to know whether the young man is already dead. The manager admits the worst outcome is possible, prompting Nishiki to press whether rescuing Kaneki is worth the effort while hope remains. Yoshimura warns of the deadly risk, and his silence about abandoning Kaneki finally breaks when Touka vows to go alone if she must. Nishiki and Hinami commit as well.

Yoshimura then clears the air, telling them he had meant to help Kaneki from the start, and asks the whole shop to stake their lives on the attempt. Once they agree, he ushers in Shuu Tsukiyama, unsettling Touka and Nishiki. Tsukiyama explains he survived by taking Touka's earlier advice and feeding on himself to recover. Touka objects that he only wants to devour Kaneki, but Yomo volunteers to keep him in check. Uta and Itori arrive bearing intelligence and gear, and Koma is asked to guard the shop, which he gladly accepts. As the meeting closes, Yoshimura warns Yomo that the Kaneki they knew may no longer exist.

Meanwhile, the Commission of Counter Ghoul advances on the Aogiri hideout with Itsuki Marude leading the operation.

Nishiki's outburst forces the rescue question into the open, and the entire Anteiku staff agrees to risk everything for Kaneki. Yoshimura reveals a plan he had held from the beginning and recruits the revived Tsukiyama, with Yomo as his minder. Uta and Itori supply support, and the CCG simultaneously marches on the hideout under Marude.

Opening Volume 7 under the title 休業 (Kyugyo), this chapter ran in issue 2013-02 on December 13, 2012, between Chapters 58 and 60. A closing panel drew Koma with a menacing aura as a nod to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
