Going Underground is the ninety-sixth chapter of the Tokyo Ghoul manga. Kaneki's team pushes deeper below Kanou's mansion, loses a member to a rampaging experiment, clashes with the Yasuhisa twins, and finds Aogiri arriving with its own agenda for the doctor.
Summary
Kaneki's companions press further along the underground corridor. Without warning, one of Kanou's botched creations lunges at Banjou; even after Kaneki spears the creature with his kagune, the thing's own tendrils consume it.
Nashiro and Kurona then block their path. Rather than fight, Kaneki bolts and vaults clean over the sisters, trusting the rest of the group to hold them off. Turning Aogiri's motives over in his mind, he presses on only to run straight into a sealed passage.
Tsukiyama and Banjou trade blows with the twins until Naki wades in and stops their assault, sparing Tsukiyama almost by accident. Eto surfaces with Gagi and Guge in tow, all of them intent on seizing Kanou. Cornered at the dead end, Kaneki is set upon by Matasaka Kamishiro.
