Packaged with the closing volume of the Tokyo Ghoul manga in place of its customary omake extras, the Epilogue is a short bonus chapter. It follows a newly promoted Akira Mado and ends on her first meeting with an unusual junior officer, Haise Sasaki.
Akira Mado stands at her late father's headstone and speaks to him. She has climbed to the rank of First Class Investigator, and her talent with a chimera quinque has earned her a place on the Anti-Aogiri unit led by Kishou Arima, a Special Class Investigator.
With the fight against the Owl now well behind her, she insists that her gut feeling about ghouls still holds. Arima, she mentions, has handed her the schooling of one particular junior, a recruit rumored to be unlike the rest of the officers somehow.
Right on cue the young man walks up, offers a greeting, and gives his name: Rank 3 Investigator Haise Sasaki. Caught off guard, Akira returns the greeting.
Having made First Class Investigator and drawn onto the Anti-Aogiri unit, Akira Mado pays her respects at her father's grave. Assigned to mentor an out-of-the-ordinary recruit, she then comes face to face with Rank 3 Investigator Haise Sasaki for the very first time.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....

Slotted right after Chapter 143 and just ahead of the first chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re, it works as a bridge into the sequel. Arima is referred to here without ever appearing on the page.
