The second chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re follows Haise Sasaki through squad politics and Rc-level worries, a tense joint meeting over the Serpent case, and the growing fractures inside the Quinx household at home.
Sasaki works through a stack of reference material before visiting the medical office, where Doctor Shiba is examining the Quinx Squad's Rc readings and warns that levels climbing too high could cost a member the ability to eat human food. The two weigh whether Tooru Mutsuki truly belongs in the squad.
A joint meeting then brings together the Mado, Hirako, and Shimoguchi squads. Sasaki reports that the ghoul killed earlier was not actually Torso, prompting Shimoguchi to jab at him for slacking on his kills. Akira Mado tries to defuse the quarrel without success, and the argument only worsens until Take Hirako settles matters by committing both teams to a joint effort and announcing that his own will pursue Serpent. Akira strikes Sasaki afterward and scolds him for his naivety, and a colleague, Kuramoto Itou, passes along information about Serpent. Elsewhere, Serpent questions a ghoul for leads on Torso and, finding he knows nothing, kills him on the spot.
At the quarters he shares with the Quinx, Sasaki cooks dinner and phones Saiko, but Urie and Shirazu skip the meal to hunt Torso themselves. Urie voices his drive to outrank Sasaki and join the S3 Squad, which sets off a squabble with an offended Shirazu. Chie Hori breaks it up, revealing that she holds information on Torso and, despite her childlike look, is actually twenty-four.
Shiba flags the danger of rising Rc levels for the Quinx and questions Mutsuki's fitness. A heated inter-squad meeting ends with Hirako's team taking the Serpent case, and Serpent kills an uninformed ghoul while hunting Torso. Urie states his ambition to surpass Sasaki, and Chie Hori arrives with intelligence on Torso.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
