Bryan Massey is a gravel-voiced American actor who plays CCG commander Matsuri Washu in Tokyo Ghoul.
Massey voices Matsuri Washu, the son of Yoshitoki Washu who rises through the CCG's ranks as a Special Class Investigator and division commander after distinguishing himself wiping out the Rosewald family in Germany. Matsuri treats the Quinx Squad with open disdain, viewing his own subordinates as expendable in pursuit of results, and like every member of the Washu clan he is eventually revealed to be a ghoul hiding in plain sight among human investigators. When his father is murdered he swears revenge, survives an assassination attempt by V's agents, and later helps push Furuta out of power.
Massey has voiced hundreds of characters across anime, video games, and cartoons, with credits that include Dick Gumshoe in the Ace Attorney games, Wilhelm from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Cocytus in Overlord, Oolong in Funimation's Dragon Ball dub, and Ladd Russo in Baccano!. He also co-created and co-owns the company Galactic Bastards, and his career dates back to the early 1980s.
