Lobov

A heavyset frame of average height, topped with short dark hair left longer in front and swept to one side, gives Lobov an unassuming presence. His Garrison years show him in that branch's standard dress; over Liberio he wears the raid's black uniform and anti-personnel maneuvering gear.

Duty sits at the center of Lobov's character, sometimes to a severe degree. Overhearing a trainee muttering about deserting during the fight for Trost, he is appalled enough to draw his blades and threaten an execution on the spot. His later choices show the same conviction turned outward: he stakes his life on covering the airship's escape, and he pointedly brushes off any mention of his old rank, wanting nothing more to do with the Garrison or its overpaid leadership. The transfer, in his own eyes, made him a new man.

During the defense of Trost District, Lobov confronts the trainee Daz over his talk of fleeing the battlefield, and only Dot Pixis's announcement of the plan to reseal the Wall breaks up the standoff. Years later, once the contents of Eren Yeager's basement become public knowledge, Lobov decides the Garrison has lost its reason to exist and trades his commander's position for a fresh start as a Survey Corps recruit.

He fights in the assault on Liberio, and during the withdrawal stations himself outside the airship to confirm that every soldier makes it back aboard. While patrolling he spots two children pursuing the airship from below; before any response is possible, Gabi Braun's shot takes him through the face, killing him instantly.
