A dramatic increase in the owner's size is what this Paramecia ability delivers, branding the eater a Gigantification Human. Its name springs from dekai, Japanese for huge, and also plays on deka-, the metric prefix for tenfold. Sanjuan Wolf, who sails with the Blackbeard Pirates, consumed it at some point before his confinement in Impel Down.

Expanding the eater's frame to an extreme degree is the fruit's function. How large it might make an average human has never been established, yet when the giant Wolf wields it, his height climbs to around ten times that of an ordinary giant, leaving him the biggest individual alive. The growth seems locked in permanently after consumption, since Wolf remained enormous even while sunk beneath the sea. Such immense bulk brings problems of its own: pulling him free of a dangerous spot becomes nearly hopeless, a concern raised when he risked drowning, and in cramped surroundings he may wreck things by accident, once knocking a building down with his backside. The customary Devil Fruit weaknesses continue to bind him as well.

Sanjuan Wolf, a giant even before eating the fruit, wielded it to claim the title of the largest person on the planet, peaking at a height of 180 meters. Water weakens him like any user, yet his stature lets him wade through portions of the ocean with his head clear of the waves, though he confessed the effort tired him. That reach allows him to hoist entire buildings and casually rearrange their positions, a task he took up once Kujaku's power had reshuffled the layout of Hachinosu. This power was also the last Paramecia, and indeed the last Devil Fruit of any kind, to have its abilities revealed before the timeskip, receiving its name only afterward.
