Appearance

In his human days Hamukichi was thickly muscled, his face and body marked by numerous scars. Pale hair rose into a pair of small buns at either side of his head, he sported a full beard, and a permanent flush colored his cheeks. His outfit ran to loose shorts patterned with hamsters, dark leg warmers, wristbands, and a belt.

Eating a monster cell reshaped him almost beyond recognition. He became a feral, upright bear-like creature blanketed in light fur, his mouth filled with jagged teeth. His eyes now stayed wide open with the pupils gone, yet the blush and a head scar carried over, and the kanji for eat stood printed across his chest.

Personality

Behind the kindly instructor was a broken man. The dojo never brought in a steady living, and that misery pushed him to sell off his humanity for the power to finally live the life he wanted. Once transformed, he seemed to shed his mind entirely and behaved like a wild animal rather than a person, echoing the fate of the Three Crows, who suggest that anyone whose will is too weak loses their sanity to the monster cells.

History

Hamukichi entered the Super Fight tournament at the C-City Super Stadium, his first time competing, and was stunned watching Suiryu crush Max with ease. His own run ended when Gatlin's Ultra High-Speed Barrage overpowered him, though he had managed to hurt his opponent badly along the way.

He was still at the venue for the closing ceremony when the Three Crows and Gouketsu stormed it and threatened death to anyone who refused to become a monster. Seeing a way out of his grim life as a barely-paid instructor, Hamukichi ate a monster cell and turned. His new form was short-lived. Suiryu dropped him with a single elbow to the face.

Little is pinned down about his fighting power. His Sunflower Dojo's Gentle Self Defense was formidable enough to wound a strong fighter like Gatlin, and after monsterfication his strength grew sharply, enough to earn a measure of respect from Gouketsu even as the giant looked down on the tournament's best. Against Suiryu, however, none of it was enough.
