Appearance

Maiko Plasma is designed to evoke a maiko, or apprentice geisha. Her dark hair is bound up in the traditional manner and studded with ornamental clips shaped like stars, clouds, and lightning bolts. She wears a trailing kimono known as a hikizuri patterned with the same clouds and bolts, wrapped in a black obi held by a pair of belts, and completes the look with elevated wooden sandals. Eight tomoe drums ride on her back, and she keeps a drumstick in each hand.

Her High Voltage Mode swaps this classical dress for something sharper and more modern. The kimono shortens considerably, she trades her sandals for punk styled boots, and the drums detach from her body to hover freely around her.

Personality

Unusually for a low ranked monster, Maiko Plasma comes across as level headed and self aware. She openly recognizes that stronger beings than herself exist in the world, a measure of humility rarely seen among lesser threats. She is also strongly tied to Electric Catfish Man, treated as his implied wife, and the two hold each other in clear mutual regard.

Abilities

Her Tiger classification means she poses a danger to great numbers of people, yet she leans on partnership to win. Alongside Electric Catfish Man she defeated the A-Class hero Lightning Genji, a victory helped enormously by the pair holding a type advantage that rendered his electric stun attacks useless against them.

As an electricity based being, Maiko Plasma can conjure numerous bolts of lightning, generally colored pink, strong enough to wreck Genji's equipment. She is likewise unbothered by electric attacks aimed back at her. In battle she prefers a supporting position, hanging back to control the field with her lightning while letting her partner deal the heavier blows. Slamming her drumsticks against the eight tomoe drums fires off bolts of electricity, and her High Voltage transformation ramps up the volume of power she can put out. Through a technique called Love Lightning Session she channels her electricity into boosting Electric Catfish Man's own attacks.

The pair struck at the rebuilt D-City together and brought down Lightning Genji, later crediting Gyoro Gyoro's careful matchmaking for the win. During the assault on Puri-Puri Prisoner, their attacks did nothing, and their attempt to flee ran them into the Demon level Baquma, who swallowed a whole group of Tiger monsters to absorb their powers. When Puri-Puri Prisoner brought Baquma down, they were released, and Electric Catfish Man carried her away. Whether she survived the destruction of the Monster Association base is left unknown.
