Blond hair defines Carrol's look; he combs it straight back, leaving one loose lock to drift down near his right temple. Brown eyes and an average-height teenage build round out the picture.

On the court he competes in a collared shirt with a deep V cut in blue-gray tones, paired with white shorts and red wristbands. A compact black pack sits strapped behind his waist, feeding a cord into his customized racket and apparently serving as its power source.

Supreme confidence bordering on arrogance colors everything Carrol does. Winning matters to him above all else, so much that he happily reaches for underhanded schemes and rigged equipment to tilt matches his way. Behind the bravado sits a genuine passion for tennis, something his sister never shared.

Defeat changes him. Once Loid and Fiona take the Campbelldon final from the twins, he tearfully admits that self-disappointment is a completely new feeling for him, then promises to build real skill through honest training.

Raised in the Campbell household, Carrol picked up a racket in early childhood alongside his twin sister Kim. The pair entered their father Cavi's secret competition, the Campbelldon, and claimed back-to-back titles there. By the present day he attends high school, and Loid's intelligence notes that the twins held something in reserve during every match they played.

In the fourteenth tournament, the siblings cruise into the final against the "Foney" couple, actually the agents Twilight and Nightfall in disguise. Carrol breaks out a rocket-boosted racket while Kim wields an extending whip model, and the pair steal the opening set. When the Foneys adapt, Carrol escalates: floor tiles that sink underfoot, a net that shifts height, gusts of wind, stink spray on the ball, even a hidden sniper he cues by waggling his tongue. Nothing works. Loid takes a bullet without going down, deflects another shot into Carrol's stomach with his racket, and clinches the match by slamming the ball beneath the frozen boy's legs.

Facing his conqueror afterward, a tearful Carrol confesses how disappointed he is in himself. Loid replies that youth and talent can carry him far if he hones them through hard work, and Carrol swears to train until he becomes a great player on his own strength. He is right-handed, the mirror of his left-handed sister.
