Cavi Campbell

Gray, medium-length hair frames Cavi's aging face, one thick strand drooping along the right side. Small brown eyes sit beneath sharply slanted lids, and facial hair rounds out his features: a heavy moustache above the lip and a soul patch beneath it. He views the world through semi-rimless glasses.

His usual outfit pairs a black suit with a patterned black-and-white shirt and a navy tie; the anime recolors the shirt maroon and swaps the tie to white.

Control and ambition drive Cavi. He projects authority through wealth and spectacle, most visibly through the illegal tournament staged under his home, where doping, sabotage, and dirty tactics are all fair game. Success is demanded of everyone around him, his own children most of all, and he showers the twins with promised luxuries while leaning on them to deliver victories.

That composure cracks whenever losing becomes a real possibility; he turns frantic and hot-tempered as the finals slip away from his children. Even so, a gentler streak surfaces on occasion, as when his son's maturity in defeat moves him to tears.

Cavi made his money in Ostania's energy industry and became known worldwide for collecting classical art, which he stores in a guarded vault beneath his mansion. Connections to the SSS and heavy security have defeated every attempted theft. Among his acquisitions is Lady in the Sun, a piece valued near one million dalc whose previous owner, the late Erik Zacharis, served in the East's military intelligence. WISE begins watching Cavi after learning the painting may point toward documents capable of rekindling hostilities between Ostania and Westalis.

Alongside a private tennis club, he runs the Campbelldon, an underground tournament whose winning pair may claim any single item from his collection. From the eleventh edition onward he entered his children Carrol and Kim, quietly tipping matches in their favor, and before the latest tournament he dangled a new yacht as their reward.

During the fourteenth Campbelldon he spots the disguised Loid Forger and Fiona Frost, competing as the "Foneys," carving through the bracket, and brushes off any suggestion they could threaten his children. He has the couple's waiting room flooded with a debilitating gas before the final and stakes ten million dalc on the twins, only to watch the Foneys win regardless. Moved to tears by Carrol's growth, he soon receives word from the SSS: the agency wants the painting, so Cavi apologizes to the champions, offers them any other piece instead, and surrenders Lady in the Sun. He never realizes that Loid, posing as his secretary, has already switched the genuine painting for a fake.
