Summary

The girls chat with Irina about their new uniforms and recall that her birthday passed days earlier with nothing from Karasuma. Privately she frets that he is now all she cares about while she cannot reach Lovro. The class conspires to fix this, sending Nagisa's group into town for a gift, where the flower-shop man from the earlier accident sells them a bouquet of roses.

Karasuma is talked into presenting the flowers, and though Irina is briefly touched, she realizes she was set up when he adds it marks a one-time occasion before the mission ends. Spotting the class eavesdropping, she rejects the bouquet and storms off, dismissing their bond as strictly business. When the students accuse Karasuma of coldness, he admits he noticed her feelings but judges that romance has dulled her edge. Alone in the car park, Irina considers leaving as a figure approaches from behind.

Key Events

Three days later Irina is still missing and Korosensei departs for a match in Brazil. The flower-shop man strolls in, blending into the room until the students notice him, and reveals himself as the Reaper, the delivery role a mere disguise. He sends Ritsu an image of a bound and gagged Irina and orders the whole class to a location without telling their teachers, threatening to mail them pieces of her otherwise. He vanishes in an instant, leaving a map and a six o'clock deadline.

Arriving in gear, the class enters the complex and triggers his trap. They stage an escape with distractions, explosives, and a smoke bomb, splitting into a group under Isogai to face the Reaper and one under Kataoka to free Irina. The battle team discovers their mobile Ritsu has been hacked before the shrouded assassin overwhelms them, dropping Muramatsu, Yoshida, and Kimura, cracking Kayano's reinforced suit, and beating Nagisa to the clap-stun before explaining how he strikes at the peak of human consciousness. Worse, the rescue squad's freed Irina turns on them, and Itona chooses surrender. Caged at last, the class watches the Reaper spot Korosensei and Karasuma closing in outside, the teacher sniffing out their trail like a hound.

Notes

The seventh season-two episode adapts chapters 98 through 104 and forms the first half of the Reaper two-parter. Korosensei's 7-to-1 remark nods to the 2014 World Cup semi-final rout of Brazil by Germany. Among manga differences, the anime uses Ritsu as the uniform model instead of Yada and omits the Reaper chasing Red Eye. It first aired in Japan on February 18, 2016, with the dub on March 23, 2016.
