Carlo

Carlo was young, short, and slightly built, with a rounded nose and a center part dividing his short blond hair. Glasses with round rims never left his face, and he dressed in the regular uniform of the Marleyan army.

Though the manga never explores him deeply, Carlo's conduct in battle paints a disciplined, dependable soldier. He follows Pieck Finger's instructions to the letter, rationing his ammunition on her order during the Liberio fight, and he moves without hesitation when she quietly signals that something is wrong.

Carlo fought at Fort Slava against the Mid-East Allied Forces as part of the four-man Panzer Unit, the crew that operates the guns fixed to the Cart Titan's armor. More than a month afterward, during the festival in the Liberio internment zone, the unit crosses paths with Pieck and Porco Galliard as a mysterious bearded soldier leads the pair away. Sensing treachery, Pieck discreetly tells her crew to trail them at a distance, and when the two Warriors are taken captive, Carlo and his comrades arrive to free them. With the Attack Titan loose in the city, the unit races to ready the Cart Titan's artillery rig for combat.

In the battle that follows, Carlo mans the guns beside Pieck against the invading Survey Corps, cutting down at least four soldiers while the Jaw and Beast Titans fight nearby, all while conserving rounds as ordered. The tide turns when Levi Ackerman abruptly brings the Beast Titan crashing down; a wave of soldiers sweeps overhead in the confusion, and Sasha Blouse snipes Carlo through the forehead from a rooftop across the way. His three crewmates die moments later under a barrage of Thunder Spears.
