History
Junichi enters the story as one of the Titans captured for Hange's research, and the gag strip turns scientist and subject into star-crossed lovers whose bond defies the taboo dividing their species. The romance peaks when a car bears down on Hange: Junichi plants itself in the vehicle's path and dies shielding the soldier it adores.
