A center part splits Lynne's bangs, and the rest of her dark hair, long and unruly, is gathered back into a ponytail for duty. When riding with her squad she layers standard Survey Corps gear over a plain white shirt.

Mission focus never hardens Lynne completely. While hunting for the supposed breach in Wall Rose, she notices Connie Springer unraveling over his family's fate and points to the absence of blood or bodies in Ragako as proof the villagers likely fled in time, a deliberate kindness offered in the middle of a crisis. That moment marks her as a soldier who weighs morale and human feeling alongside her orders.

Mike Zacharias selects Lynne as one of the soldiers assigned to watch over a group of Survey Corps members suspected of treachery. Titans appearing inside Wall Rose cut the assignment short, and Mike splits his forces four ways to warn the surrounding villages; Lynne rides south under Gelgar's command. She reassures Connie in his ruined hometown, and when no breach can be found, her group merges with the squads of Nanaba and Henning to shelter overnight in Utgard Castle. The manga credits her with at least one solo Titan kill during the fighting that follows.

Utgard comes under assault from Titans that remain active in darkness. Realizing smaller ones have slipped inside the castle, Lynne directs the unarmed recruits to barricade the interior. She and Henning later leave Gelgar and Nanaba behind to look in on those recruits, and a projectile flung by the Beast Titan strikes them both dead on the spot.

Her memory lingers through the story's final battles. She stands among the fallen comrades in Erwin Smith's mind at Shiganshina, greets Hange Zoë among the Survey Corps dead after the sacrifice at Odiha, and joins the final spectral salute to Levi once Eren Yeager falls. She shares a February 17th birthday with Ymir, and her name is an English one meaning lake.
