Reeves family

As Titans pour into Trost, Dimo Reeves jams the evacuation route with a cargo of his own goods, declaring the load more valuable than the lifetime earnings of anyone present and dangling a reward at whoever helps move it. Threats from Mikasa Ackerman end the standoff and free the passage. The battle leaves the district ruined and impoverished, and the same man turns his company toward relief work for its people. His scheming does not stop: a plot to seize Historia Reiss and Eren Yeager for delivery to the Royal Government collapses against the Special Operations Squad, after which negotiation with Levi converts him into a Survey Corps partner. Dimo and his son Flegel then sit in on the meeting where Erwin Smith reveals his intention to pull King Fritz from the throne in favor of Historia.

The alliance costs Dimo his life. When the scheduled handover of the two captives arrives, Kenny Ackerman's squad guns down Dimo and his men, having known all along that the company would turn on them; Flegel watches the killing from hiding, terrified. Erwin later stands before the body in front of a Trost crowd, recalling the president's selfish conduct during the battle, and when Dimo's weeping daughter asks whether her father deserved this, he answers instead by honoring the man's efforts for the district and promising he will be avenged. Hange eventually finds Flegel, who refuses to testify, certain his word counts for nothing and that the Military Police will kill him. Three of their officers later corner him, and as they gloat he draws out an open admission of the murder just before Hange's squad takes them down, with a crowd of Trost residents listening. The witnesses volunteer to testify to the Brigade's guilt and the Survey Corps' innocence, and Flegel, planted on the lead officer's head, vows to protect the town.

Four members are known. Dimo Reeves, president of the Reeves Company, dies at the hands of Kenny Ackerman's squad. His son Flegel survives him, as do Dimo's wife and daughter, seen mourning the patriarch together.

Public exposure of Dimo's murder restores the Survey Corps' standing at a decisive hour of the move against the Royal Government. Flegel's stand before the Military Police earns him the gratitude of Trost's inhabitants and Hange's congratulations, binding the family name to the district it had long dominated as its wealthiest merchant house.
