Sinners

Onyankopon pilots the flying boat toward Fort Salta on half a tank of fuel, promising Armin Arlert he will get them there if Armin promises to end the Rumbling. In the hold, Armin sketches the Founding Titan from Levi and Pieck's descriptions, though neither can confirm Eren sits in its nape given his War Hammer Titan power. Pieck proposes obliterating the whole colossus with Armin's Colossus Titan, the way the Liberio port was erased, and Levi offers a second route: killing Zeke, whose royal blood sustains Eren's control of the Founder. Armin accepts both only as fallbacks, holding out for a conversation first. The talk turns raw. Connie recalls cutting down Samuel and Daz, Jean regrets ever condemning Reiner now that his own hands are bloody, and Reiner concedes his sins are past forgiving, then urges them to save what remains of humanity anyway.

Mid-discussion, all seven Eldians are pulled into the Paths. Armin shouts into the void that Paradis is already safe for generations and begs Eren to stand down. A small figure waits at the center: Eren as a child, Ymir Fritz beside him, the same hollow stare on both. He tells them negotiation is pointless. He will strip the outside world of its freedom to preserve his own, but he refuses to take theirs, so they remain free to oppose him. Stopping the Rumbling means killing him. Back on the plane, Levi asks his new commander what comes next.

On the ship bound for Hizuru, Kiyomi Azumabito carries the guilt of having connected Eren and Zeke, while Annie reflects on her father, Pieck, and the 104th before saying it is all too late. Falco reveals he has seen one of Zeke's memories, inherited through the spinal fluid behind his first transformation, including a vision of flight above the clouds. Convinced his Jaw Titan can grow wings, he and Gabi resolve to leave the ship. Near Fort Salta, Annie's father and a Marleyan engineer plot to steal an airship for the Eldian refugees, but the fleet lifts off first, rising to bomb the approaching Wall Titans from beyond their reach.

The flying boat crew settles its strategy: attempt dialogue with Eren, with Armin's Colossus blast or Zeke's death held in reserve.

Eren gathers the seven Eldians into the Paths, appears as his childhood self alongside Ymir Fritz, and declares the Rumbling stops only with his death.

Falco discovers he inherited Zeke's memories through spinal fluid, explaining his Jaw Titan's bestial traits, and believes the memory of a winged Beast Titan means he can fly.

At Fort Salta, the refugee plan to steal an airship collapses as the fleet launches to bomb the oncoming Titans.

The Japanese title, 罪人達 (Tsumibitotachi), is plural, framing the whole surviving cast as sinners rather than any single character, a theme the chapter's confessions between Connie, Jean, and Reiner make explicit.

Reiner's line about saving the rest of humanity despite his unforgivable sins gives the chapter its emotional center and its epigraph.
