Unleash Evil

The heaps of Kushan dead flattened by Ganishka begin to writhe, congealing into hulking, tentacled spawn that wear the emperor's twice-reincarnated face and weep blood from every opening. These fresh horrors immediately set upon the handful of Kushan who lived through their emperor's blind rampage.

Watching the spawn close in from a hilltop, the members of the Band of the Falcon look to Griffith for direction. He orders an echelon formation and sends the Midland volunteers to shield the Pontiff and the people of Wyndham, telling Sonia to remain beside the Pontiff and Charlotte while Mule personally guards the group.

Griffith then sends his war demons ahead to raise a living wall between the spawn and the rest of the band. With the command to unleash their evil, the demons cast off their human shapes, take on their true apostle forms, and hurl themselves at Ganishka's offspring.

The chapter's title comes directly from Griffith's command to the war demons. Dark Horse Comics renders it as "Demonic Release," though what he actually tells them is to unleash their evil rather than to perform any demonic release.
