Kotobuki plays Rickert, Guts's former Band of the Falcon comrade, across the Golden Age Arc film trilogy, its Memorial Edition cut, the 2016 television series, and the Berserk Musou video game. She picked up the role after Akiko Yajima originated Rickert's Japanese voice back in the 1997 anime.
Kotobuki's breakout came from voicing bassist Tsumugi Kotobuki in the school band comedy K-On!, a part that led directly into a recording career; she went on to sing opening and ending themes for the show and became a member of the four-piece vocal unit Sphere.
