Gabriel, rendered in Japanese as Notice of Conception, is a rebirth trick tied to Szayelaporro Granz's released form, Fornicarás. Damaged past recovery, he uses it to plant a piece of himself in a living enemy and claw his way back into existence out of their body.
The power carries no fixed shape of its own; what onlookers witness is the buried scrap of Szayelaporro at work. Lodged within a host, that fragment can grow a mouth and speak to anyone nearby, and when the moment arrives the Espada rebuilds his entire frame within seconds, spilling out of the victim inside a fluid shell. The anime toned the sequence down considerably: rather than tearing free head-first, he swells from an embryo pushed up through Nemu's lips, and she is left far less shriveled than the manga depicts.
Szayelaporro calls on Gabriel only once a wound has left him beyond saving. Making contact with a foe, usually by way of the branches of his release, he punctures them at the navel and seeds a shard of himself inside as an egg. Given time, he eats his way back out, wringing every fluid and chemical from the host and, by his own telling, slaying them as he reconstitutes. He treats the ability as proof of his supremacy, holding it up against the phoenix's rebirth from flame and branding himself a flawless being for wielding it.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....
Szayelaporro turns Gabriel on Nemu Kurotsuchi, lieutenant of the 12th Division, and though he crows that the process spells her death, she pulls through it. The Ryōgo Narita novel Spirits Are Forever With You credits this very technique as the main reason he wins back his seat among the Espada, following the demotion he suffered for slipping into an Adjuchas when he tore Yylfordt Granz out of himself.

Szayelaporro Granz was demoted from the Espada after losing control and tearing Yylfordt Granz out of himself as an Adjuchas. According to supplementary material, using Gabriel to survive a fatal wound was the main reason he later won back his seat.
