Guhl and Günther

Neither Doll wears a solid body. Each conjures its form from surrounding water, usually a mid-sized sphere perched on stalk-like tendrils sprouting from a floor pool, and the two can pool together into a single bloated giant whenever enough water is on hand, as during rain. With little water available they shrink into small stalkless orbs that skim through the air. At the heart of each lies a plastic bottle cap, stored on water bottles at Ban's hip; the twins pour out a bottle, drop its cap into the spill, and the Doll grows its watery shell around that cap.

Mute and blank-faced, the pair are nonetheless devoted to Hō and Ban and obey either brother when the situation calls for it. They kill without compunction, and Ban claims both were eager to show their real ferocity against Ichigo's group. Their reliability collapses, however, the moment one master falls unconscious, after which the Dolls grow deaf to the surviving twin and may sit motionless even as lethal attacks bear down.

During the anime-only Bount arc, Hō and Ban are dispatched to Karakura Hospital to seize the wounded Uryū Ishida, sending their Dolls ahead while staying hidden. The pair first slip in as a maddeningly dripping faucet that Rukia Kuchiki cannot shut off, then flood the room and lunge at Uryū, only for Ichigo to scatter the water with Zangetsu. Cutting the Dolls apart proves useless, since they simply reform and swap places, so the group flees while the water creatures pour through the plumbing in pursuit, drowning elevator shafts and whole floors until Ichigo resorts to igniting compressed oxygen to blast the water away.

Driven outside into fresh rain, the two merge into a massive body and overwhelm Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji with crushing tendrils, releasing them only to chase Uryū down. They corner the group again in an abandoned factory and begin forcing water into their victims to tear them apart from inside, but Noba teleports Ban away and drops him, knocking him out. With Ban senseless, Günther loses cohesion and its water collapses onto Hō, and the assault stalls; Ganju Shiba then detonates a firework inside the sphere holding Guhl's cap, burning the crest to cinders. Both Dolls perish with the destruction of the crest, and Hō and Ban die along with them.
