Huburt Alexander Kleich

A delicate, almost feminine face defined Huburt, framed by black hair swept to one side beneath thin brows. He dressed in full military style: a white cap bearing three small three-branched star emblems, a white uniform with a black tie, and a short cape fixed at the shoulders by two pins joined across the chest with a cord. White trousers held by a broad black belt and black shoes trimmed white at the heel and toe finished the look.

Composed and businesslike by default, Huburt delivered the announcement of the Sternritter's founding to a village without breaking stride until Bazz-B cut in. That poise fell away when he was crossed; anyone he judged beneath him drew a manic grin and mocking taunts as he took up their challenge. Toward Yhwach he was all deference, kneeling and apologizing at length for having accepted a duel once the emperor intervened, and he refused to question his master's decisions while furiously rounding on anyone who did. His bond with Haschwalth ran more tangled: he privately wondered whether Bazz-B's constant challenges meant Haschwalth commanded too little respect, yet he offered to discipline Bazz-B on the captain's behalf, even at the cost of breaking Yhwach's ban on infighting.

A thousand years back, while the Lichtreich still ruled, Huburt rode into a village alongside Algora Lallau to spread word of Yhwach forming the Sternritter. Bazz-B interrupted to volunteer himself and Haschwalth, and when Huburt brushed him off and told him to train for the coming examinations, an angry Bazz-B challenged him for his rank; Huburt grinned and agreed, only for Yhwach to arrive and flatten everyone with his Reiatsu. Three years later Huburt was serving as vice-captain beneath Haschwalth, still needling Bazz-B and still chafing against the no-fighting rule. He drew his weapon during the tense truce talks between Yhwach and Ichibe Hyosube, and when the Lichtreich invaded Soul Society he was among those Yamamoto burned alive with Zanka no Tachi. His skeletal remains were later reanimated when Yamamoto turned that same Bankai against a disguised foe.

As a Quincy, Huburt fought by shaping ambient Reishi into arms, chiefly a medium saber he kept sheathed at his left hip and used to cut down soldiers.
