Kei Uehara is a grade-school boy from Karakura Town and one of the soccer buddies who orbit Karin Kurosaki. Nicknamed Donny for his resemblance to a certain fast-food mascot, he is the one who keeps the group tethered to their fearless captain.
An afro crowns Kei's head, sitting above a rounded nose and a set of oversized lips. That combination earns him the nickname Donny, since classmates decide he resembles the Ronald McDonald mascot.
Like his fellow benchwarmers, Kei is soccer-obsessed and more than a little shallow, and he treats Karin as the brains and muscle the boys rally behind. Nerve is not his strong suit, and the moment danger appears he ducks in behind her for cover.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....
During the Agent of the Shinigami arc, a wayward kick from Karin catches Heita in the face, and when she storms off, Kei is the one who calls after her. He alone insists on chasing her down, which shames the others into following. Their pursuit collides with a clash that pits the Hollow Bulbous G against Yasutora Sado as he shields Karin; blind to the Hollow, the boys assume Karin and Sado are brawling until she shoves them clear of harm.
In the later Arrancar arc, the group loses their reserved pitch to older kids and reluctantly agrees to a match. Kei floats the idea of drafting Karin's brother Ichigo, but he is out of town, so they turn to Tōshirō Hitsugaya instead. Kei mocks the small newcomer until a ball ricochets off Tōshirō into his own face, after which the boys eagerly welcome him. Posted in goal on match day, Kei lets four shots slip past and the team sinks into gloom, only for Tōshirō to arrive, swing the game around, and lead them to victory before scattering everyone by dispatching a Hollow that appears.
