Kinshara Butōdan

Activating the Bankai, Kinshara's golden cord swells into an enormous pair of disembodied hands hovering above Rose, one gripping a great baton while he keeps a smaller one for himself. The rest coils up into more than a dozen towering, doll-like figures ranked in two rows, their faces reduced to petal-like flares and their torsos hollowed out at the center. Rose calls them his dance troupe of death, and a gamelan-like score rings out to move them.

The Bankai suits Rose's love of spectacle: he treats a duel as a performance, conducting his dancers with a wave of his baton and freely admitting that his methods are tricks, since, to his mind, it is trickery that captures an audience's heart.

The Bankai weaponizes music to cast illusions that seize the target's heart, and for as long as the victim can hear the melody, those illusions turn real enough to wound. Its techniques, styled as Programs and danced out by the figures, include Sea Drift, which spins the dolls into a crushing, drowning whirlpool; Prometheus, which pours conjured flame over a foe until it burns for real; and the unfinished Ein Heldenleben, a would-be finisher never seen in action because Mask De Masculine ruptured his own eardrums to break free. That reliance on sound is the power's single flaw, since an opponent who cannot hear the music is wholly immune to it.
