Konoka Suzunami

Konoka sweeps her long red hair to one side, letting only the right portion of her bangs fall across her forehead, and pins a flower-shaped clip near her right shoulder. Her eyes are a deep green. She dresses in a soft pink kimono gathered at the waist by a red sash.

Born to nobility yet gentle by nature, Konoka warmed quickly to Fujimaru and Matsuri once they joined the household, sharing easy laughter with them. Her bond with her brother Seigen ran especially deep, and losing her would leave him devastated.

When a Hollow set upon the young Kudō twins, Seigen rescued them and carried them home, where Konoka mended their wounds before the siblings were adopted into the family and grew up to serve the Gotei 13. Years later, as Arturo Plateado ravaged Soul Society, Konoka turned the Shisuikyō on him to siphon away his power; the mirror drained her own life as well, and her death tore open an anomaly that swallowed the twins, Seigen, and Arturo alike.

Left without a body of her own afterward, Konoka's spirit lodged within a girl named Shiyo and lay dormant as Shiyo drifted into the Human World. She surfaces to calm her rampaging brother, now warped into a monster, but Sōsuke Aizen seizes the Shisuikyō and uses Seigen to disrupt the cycle of souls. After Fujimaru, Matsuri, and their allies at last defeat Seigen's monstrous form, brother and sister are reunited; together they bid the twins farewell and spend the last of their strength returning the group to Soul Society.
