Overview

The Shisuikyō, translated as Burning Water Mirror, is a treasured device carried by Konoka Suzunami, elder sister of former 5th Division captain Seigen Suzunami. It appears in the video game Bleach: The 3rd Phantom, and its use hinges on Konoka's unusual pattern of Reiatsu, a signature few could match.

Function

The mirror drains the Reiryoku of whatever it is turned against, but the flow runs both ways, steadily sapping the spiritual energy of the one holding it as well. Pushed too far, it can wring its user dry to a dangerous degree. When Arturo Plateado assaulted Soul Society, Konoka trained the Shisuikyō on him to strip away his powers. The effort cost her life, and the backlash ripped open an anomaly that swallowed her brother Seigen, the twins Fujimaru and Matsuri Kudō, and Arturo himself. The mirror later fell into the hands of Sōsuke Aizen, who paired it with the captured Seigen to control the Spirit Cycle.
