Kusajishi Bull's Gang

Daiji Hirasago is a lean but muscular young man topped with spiky reddish-brown hair and marked by several scars, including one splitting his left eyebrow, another on his cheek, and a large one across his chest. He dresses in a baggy sleeveless jumpsuit cinched with a yellow sash, black forearm bands, gray calf wraps, and sandals, and carries a pale-blue staff as tall as himself. His three subordinates all wear matching blue jumpsuits with yellow sashes: Lady keeps her long brown hair in a side ponytail and twin holstered blades, Max has a slender build under spiky black hair, and Komae binds his black hair beneath a white bandanna.

Daiji comes across as straightforward, friendly, and even-tempered, if a touch cocky, having adopted the nickname the Bull of Kusajishi purely because it sounded cool to him. He normally has no interest in aiding the Seireitei's Shinigami and refuses to count Ganju a friend, but he relents once Ganju honestly admits he is trying to help someone he cares about. Lady, Max, and Komae are alike in their total devotion to Daiji, willing to wait for hours on end and to carry out any order without a word of protest.

In the anime-only Bount arc, Ganju, searching Soul Society for the Bount, whistles the gang out of the Kusajishi undergrowth to startle his companions. The next day Daiji returns with reconnaissance revealing the Bount are gathering a swarm of local thugs to storm the Seireitei. Hesitant at first, he agrees to help once Ganju explains he is doing it all to support Ichigo's efforts, and Daiji has his followers muster fighters of their own to raid the thugs' base and scatter those the Bount left behind.
