Minazuki is the Zanpakuto of Retsu Unohana, captain of the Fourth Division. Unusual among Soul Reaper blades, its released form is a healing creature rather than a weapon, and its Bankai turns the sword into a flood of blood-like liquid.
Sheathed, Minazuki runs a touch longer than a standard katana and takes after a nodachi, fitted with an oval guard and a red grip. Rather than binding it at her sash, Unohana slings the sword over one shoulder on a rope strap in tachi fashion, or hands it off to Isane to carry for her.
Its release phrase and the way it transforms are never shown. In Shikai the blade becomes an enormous green, single-eyed creature resembling a manta ray, able to fly and to sprout legs for landing, and it can shrink down to about the size of a puppy. Its healing gift works by swallowing the injured into its belly, where potent medicinal fluids seep over their wounds; it holds at least six people at once and spits them back out at Unohana's command.
The Bankai, whose name renders as All Things' End, has Unohana run a hand along the edge until the steel dissolves into a thick, dark-red fluid like blood, which pours down to blanket the battlefield before the blade re-solidifies with the liquid still streaming off it. She can hurl slashing waves of the substance at range, ring herself in floating liquid blades for defense, and mend her own injuries rapidly without resorting to Kaido. Should she suffer a fatal blow, the fluid scatters and vanishes without a trace.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....
As the tool of the Fourth Division's captain, Minazuki's Shikai carried and mended the wounded in the aftermath of the Soul Society conflict, ferrying casualties inside its stomach and later releasing them near the Sokyoku stand for her subordinates to tend. Its Bankai, long kept hidden, was finally unveiled during Unohana's climactic duel, its blood-like tide clashing against another blade without losing its shape.
In Bankai, Minazuki, Retsu Unohana runs her hand along the blade until it dissolves into a thick, blood-like fluid that floods the battlefield. She can hurl slashing waves of the liquid at range, ring herself in floating blades for defense, and heal her own wounds rapidly without needing Kaido.
Minazuki belongs to Retsu Unohana, the captain of the Fourth Division in the Gotei 13. Unlike most Zanpakuto, its released form is a healing creature rather than a straightforward weapon.
In its Shikai state the blade's name translates as Flesh-Drops' Gorge, while its Bankai form is rendered as All Things' End. Both names reflect Minazuki's blood and healing themed abilities.
In Shikai, Minazuki transforms into a large green, single eyed creature resembling a manta ray that can fly, sprout legs to land, and shrink down to about the size of a puppy.
Minazuki's Shikai form swallows wounded people into its belly, where potent medicinal fluids seep over their wounds. It can hold at least six people at once and releases them back out at Unohana's command.
