Minazuki (Zanpakutō spirit)

The spirit takes shape as a slender, humanoid figure wrapped head to toe in bandages and draped in a very long, pale green hood.

In the Zanpakuto Unknown Tales arc, Minazuki bides its time in the spirits' cave awaiting Muramasa. It later joins Katen Kyokotsu and Sogyo no Kotowari in seizing Captain-Commander Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto, their combined strength being necessary to seal him, and afterward helps sustain the barrier that confines him. When Yoruichi Shihoin guides a rescue party to the cave, Minazuki slips clear of Ichigo Kurosaki's strikes and lures him deeper along the tunnel toward Yamamoto.

In the anime-only Beast Swords arc it stands among the Shinigami and spirits who confront Saru and Hebi after the Research and Development Institute is destroyed. Once Renji Abarai downs the last Toju, Kirikaze, with Hikotsu Taiho, the energy sustaining the manifested spirits finally runs dry and Minazuki returns for good to its sword.

As the blade-spirit of one of the Gotei 13's mightiest captains, Minazuki wields tremendous Reiryoku, its power helping to hold down Yamamoto's own while he sat trapped within his barrier. It is also notably swift, dodging every one of Ichigo's attacks as it drew him along toward the sealed captain-commander.
