Sōjun Kuchiki held the lieutenancy of the Sixth Division more than a century ago and belonged to the noble Kuchiki Clan. The son of captain Ginrei Kuchiki and the father of Byakuya Kuchiki, he died in the line of duty while still young.
Sōjun appeared as a young man of ordinary height with pale skin, thin brows, and bluish-purple eyes. His black hair fell to his shoulders, neatly combed with the bangs swept clear of his face. A single kenseikan sat at the left of his head, marking his noble Kuchiki standing, worn above the usual Shinigami robes.
He was remembered as a gentle man who, for all his ability, lacked any real appetite for combat. Fragile health further shadowed his life.
