Assault From a Formidable Enemy! A Tiny Final Line of Defense?!

Following Yoshino Sōma's death, Kisuke Urahara scatters his allies for safety, boarding Orihime Inoue and Yasutora Sado at his shop while sending Ichigo Kurosaki back to his family with the three Mod-Souls in tow. Ririn, Kurōdo, and Noba are supposed to watch for Bount movement, since the enemy's whereabouts can no longer be tracked, but Ichigo doubts they will be any use. Once home, he finds them squabbling endlessly with Kon in his bedroom and quickly regrets the arrangement.

Convinced the Kurosaki family's strong Reiryoku marks them as prey, the plushies fortify the clinic with a string of absurd devices borrowed from Urahara: a bait basket woven from Reiryoku-sealing bamboo, a rack of reflective discs sold as a repellent, water bottles better suited to scaring cats, and a Sekkiseki mortar wired to drop on anyone who steps inside a floor outline. The only creature their defenses snare is Hanatarō Yamada, who trips over Kon's rope while delivering a pie. Unimpressed, Ichigo orders them to clean it all up.

Stung by his dismissal, the Mod-Souls decide to frighten Ichigo and Rukia Kuchiki into appreciating them. Ririn and Kurōdo strap on power-boosting armor that happens to resemble the Bitto and fake an assault from a rooftop. Rukia, a battle-hardened Shinigami who never flinches, simply hurls Kidō at them, forcing Noba to teleport the pair clear again and again. Worse, the armor then jams and refuses to come off, leaving Ririn and Kurōdo stranded as they try to slip back and explain themselves.

When Ichigo and Renji Abarai finally corner them, the two desperate plushies merge into a giant named Konpakumajin, combining Ririn's illusions and Kurōdo's shape-shifting to torment their pursuers with false images of Yuzu and swarms of drawn rabbits. The rampage collapses only when the reflective discs of their own repellent flare with violet light and daze the fusion, splitting it back into the spent Mod-Souls. Noba pulls them free, and a later meeting at the shop has Urahara apologize and reclaim the armor. Karin Kurosaki comes home to find Isshin pinned beneath the forgotten mortar.

Urahara relocates Orihime and Sado to his shop and assigns the Mod-Souls to guard the Kurosaki household. The trio's homemade traps ensnare only Hanatarō. Mistaking the armored Ririn and Kurōdo for genuine enemies, Rukia attacks them with Sōkatsui, Shakkahō, and Byakurai. Ririn and Kurōdo fuse into Konpakumajin before their own Bount repellent neutralizes it. Urahara takes back the malfunctioning armor to prevent any further mix-ups.

This is an anime-original installment set during the Bount arc, adapting no manga chapters. A closing Shinigami Illustrated Picture Book segment shows Kenpachi Zaraki choosing to send Yumichika Ayasegawa to the Human World over subordinates handling real work, on the logic that play matters more than duty. The episode runs almost entirely on comedy, with every scheme backfiring and Isshin left trapped as the final gag.
