Ichigo・Byakuya・Kariya, The Battle of the Three Extremes!

In the Fugai forest, Kariya rides a shield of wind while Ichigo and Byakuya answer his gales with a Getsuga Tenshō and the surging petals of Senbonzakura Kageyoshi. Their combined strikes carve a vast crater. Kariya cannot match Ichigo's speed but reads his movements through long experience, yet Byakuya proves that an attack stronger than the Bount's defense can still wound him, and reminds him that Soul Society's dense Reishi lets the Bount heal endlessly.

A colossal beam splits the battlefield, and from the dust steps Ran'Tao, whose face startles everyone as the image of Yoshino Sōma. She names herself the exiled creator of the Bount and reveals she has waited ages for Kariya's return. He vows to raze the Seireitei before killing her, but withdraws when Gō Koga's Doll, Dalk, showers the area with metal spheres, letting the Bount slip away while Ichigo shields Ran'Tao from the barrage.

Uryū catches up, mistaking Ran'Tao for Yoshino, and she guides the pair to her underground home, healing Ichigo with defibrillators before recounting the truth. Her experiments on Human souls accidentally produced a deathless subspecies that neither world would accept, driving Soul Society to nearly exterminate them alongside a battle against the Quincy. Sealed from leaving the Seireitei and kept alive by self-experimentation, she now needs rest, and Ichigo and Uryū decide to stay for the remainder of her story.

Ichigo and Byakuya conclude their duel with Kariya, proving his wind shield is not invincible. Ran'Tao arrives and halts the fight, revealing herself as the Bount's creator. Kariya retreats under cover of Koga's Doll. Ran'Tao heals Ichigo and explains that a failed experiment on Human souls created the immortal Bount, whom Soul Society tried to wipe out. She reveals a seal on her back that binds her to Soul Society, then collapses from exhaustion.

This installment is anime-original with no adapted chapters, part of the Bount assault storyline. Displayed abilities include Shunpo, Getsuga Tenshō, Kariya's Wind Licht Schneide and Wind Barrier, Uryū's Heilig Pfeil, and the Bankai of both Ichigo and Byakuya. A side segment shows Shūhei Hisagi gifting Komamura a dog brush suited to his fur. The opening theme is Tonight, Tonight, Tonight and the ending is Movin!!.
