Kon is Seen! Secret of a Beautiful Office Lady

Kon spots a pretty stranger from the Kurosaki clinic window and bolts after her before Ichigo hauls him back. When Ichigo's badge signals a Hollow, he leaves as a Shinigami and stuffs Kon into his body with orders to behave. Kon disobeys and finds the woman, Haruko, poised to jump from a bridge over a failed romance. He blunders in to save her and tumbles into shallow water instead. Haruko confides that she has seen strange things since childhood, an ability that drove her boyfriend Ken to break up with her and left her feeling that life is not worth living.

Elsewhere, Ichigo joins Rukia beside a desiccated human body, one of six identical victims of a Hollow whose fluctuating Reiatsu makes it nearly untraceable. A blue-haired man approaches Haruko, offering to grant her wish to die, and reveals himself as the tapeworm Hollow before pinning her to a fence to drain her. Kon intervenes with the soccer ball and a kick, then flees with her to safety. Ken reappears and reconciles with Haruko, prompting Kon to bow out, but a fresh spike of Reiatsu draws him back to find Haruko now hosting the Hollow and standing over Ken's body.

Haruko's fingernails lengthen into daggers and stab Kon, and she explains the parasite jumped from Ken to her. Kon punches the tapeworm loose, but is knocked into a tree, popping his pill out of Ichigo's body. As the Hollow moves to swallow the exposed Mod-Soul, Ichigo blasts it apart with Getsuga Tenshō. Rukia wipes Haruko's memory with the Memory Alteration device so she and Ken can resume their lives, and Kon breaks the fourth wall to grumble about the anticlimactic ending. This anime-original episode is the 314th of the series; a Shinigami Illustrated Picture Book segment lists Yamamoto's cleaning rules, each forbidding the use of Bankai.
