Next Target, The Devil's Hand Aims at Orihime!

Shrunk down and battling Mr. Pork's Mad Beast Mode inside a dollhouse, Ichigo grips his old Substitute Badge and sifts through every fight of his Soul Reaper days. The badge answers, pouring out black-and-red spirit energy that takes the shape of Tensa Zangetsu's guard. Kugo explains that just as Ichigo's battles are etched into his soul, they are etched into the badge as well, a decisive edge for anyone chasing Fullbring.

Ichigo learns the guard cannot cut but can block, and once he channels the old sensation of firing a Getsuga Tensho, he unleashes a wheel of energy that finally drops Mr. Pork. Riruka's sneeze cancels her ability and restores everyone to full size, drenching an irritated Ichigo. As he dries off, Rukia's voice drifts from the badge, saying it cannot be and that Ichigo would never, before it falls silent again.

Kugo and the others send Ichigo home to recover, warning that Fullbring drains his human body far more than he realizes. Mr. Pork is paid off and dismissed, and Ichigo starts to believe he may truly reclaim his lost powers.

Across town, Orihime leaves bread at Sado's door, unaware that Moe Shishigawara is trailing her. He tries to strike her down to prove himself to his boss but is stopped cold by her beauty and cannot bring himself to do it. When she recognizes his part in the attack on Uryu, her anger gives him the resolve he lacked, but Tsukishima appears behind her and calmly claims responsibility for wounding Uryu himself, drawing his Fullbring, the Book of the End.

The episode adapts chapters 437 through 439 of the Lost Substitute Shinigami arc and marks the awakening of Ichigo's own Fullbring through his Substitute Badge. Rukia's disembodied voice foreshadows Soul Society's renewed contact with him.

An Xcution Dictionary segment shows Tsukishima repeatedly let down by Shishigawara in the kitchen, from a forgotten carton of milk to a burned pot of stew.
