With the badge now glowing, Kugo observes that every clash Ichigo has fought lives on inside his tools, each touch after a fight etching the experience deeper; that stored history, he claims, is a veteran fighter's finest advantage once Fullbring awakens. Ichigo slips away from a wall Mr. Pork smashes and vaults over the brute's shoulder, flinging the badge, only for the dark energy to vanish the instant it leaves his grip. He recovers it and grasps that the power holds solely while the badge stays in hand.

Testing it, he finds the guard-shaped weapon merely dents his opponent rather than cutting, then uses it to absorb an incoming fist. Clutching it two-handed, he feels the old rush of Getsuga Tensho return, and Kugo notes how his stance has settled. Ichigo releases a broad wheel of force into Mr. Pork's head, ending the bout. Elsewhere, Orihime reaches Sado's apartment, notices the bread she left has gone, and is confronted by Moe Shishigawara, who tells her to die on the spot.

Ichigo discovers the badge only channels power while held, a limit that reshapes how he fights. He adapts it into a shield, revives the feel of Getsuga Tensho, and downs Mr. Pork with a spinning burst of energy. The scene closes on a new threat as Shishigawara corners Orihime.
