The Soul Burial Detective, Karakuraizer is Born

Urahara wakes Kon and, once the Mod-Soul is back in Ichigo's body, explains that Hollows will keep appearing even with the heroes gone. He hands Kon a Soul Burial Detective transformation watch and, when Kon balks, sweetens the offer by promising it will attract women and earn Rukia's admiration, which instantly wins him over. Kon must shout a set battle cry or the watch will shock him. An alarm sounds, and Tessai hurls Kon through the ceiling toward a Hollow named Zonzain that is menacing a female Plus.

Prompted by Urahara, Kon transforms into the gaudy Karakura-Raizer costume that Uryū designed, to Kon's disgust. He dodges Zonzain's blows, kicks the Hollow in the head, and finishes it with the Riser Beam, which Urahara notes can be fired only once per transformation. Another alarm reveals a whole swarm of flying Hollows overhead. Kon's attempts to counter fail, and the Hollows toss him about and peck at him until a group of figures descends to his aid.

The newcomers reveal themselves as the rest of the Karakura-Raizer team: Don Kanonji as Spirit, Tatsuki as Beast, Chizuru as Erotic, Keigo as Delicate, and Ururu as Tiny Devil. Working together, they wipe out the swarm. Then a battered Zennosuke Kurumadani staggers in warning that others are coming, and the team senses an immense Reiatsu as a Hollow-faced craft appears in the sky carrying an Arrancar in Aizen's service.

Urahara recruits Kon as Karakura-Raizer and equips him with a transformation watch. Kon defeats the Hollow Zonzain with the Riser Beam. A swarm of flying Hollows overwhelms Kon until the rest of the Karakura-Raizer team arrives. Don Kanonji, Tatsuki, Chizuru, Keigo, and Ururu join Kon to destroy the swarm. Zennosuke Kurumadani warns of a coming threat as an Arrancar working for Aizen appears above the town.

This anime-original comedy is based on sketches from manga volume 29 and stands outside the main arcs. An Arrancar Encyclopedia segment has Gin discussing the Garganta before Mayuri interrupts, revealing he has borrowed Gin's slot to research Arrancar and offering to dissect one for a diagram. The featured moves are the team's Raizer Beam, Raizer Kanonball, and Raizer Deadly Magnum.
