Cornered by Nnoitra Gilga, Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck reluctantly releases her Zanpakuto and overpowers him with her Lanzador Verde, breaking his weapon and sending him flying. In the ruins of Szayelaporro's laboratory, Pesche Guatiche draws his sword Ultima and cuts the scientist's arm. When Szayelaporro orders his Fraccion to tear Bawabawa apart, Dondochakka Birstanne swiftly beats them, and the two partners fire their combined Cero Sincretico straight at the Espada.
Before Nelliel can finish Nnoitra, she reverts to her small child form, and he seizes the chance to strike her and smash Ichigo Kurosaki into the ground. Nnoitra hands the fight to Tesra Lindocruz, who releases his Resurreccion and mercilessly tortures Ichigo. When the smoke clears from Pesche and Dondochakka's attack, Szayelaporro stands untouched, having analyzed and negated their assault.
Elsewhere, Zommari Rureaux finds the wounded Rukia and vows to finish her, while Rudbornn Chelute and his Exequias corner Sado and Gantenbainne to begin an extraction. As Tesra prepares to kill Ichigo, Kenpachi Zaraki arrives and intervenes, rescuing him.
