Heilig Bogen

Quincy build their armaments by drawing the surrounding Reishi together and binding it with their own energy through a Quincy Cross. The Heilig Bogen, also called the Spirit Bow, is the oldest and most emblematic of these creations. Long-standing practitioners still favor it above every other form, and the strength of any such weapon is capped only by the wielder's stamina and spiritual reserves.

The bow exists to launch the Quincy's spirit arrows, the Heilig Pfeil, energy shafts that wound or destroy spiritual beings. Where a Shinigami blade cleanses a Hollow, a weapon of this make wipes the creature out completely. Modern archers who keep to the bow often reshape it to their liking, adjusting its size and styling or even reworking it into a crossbow to suit their own strength and motif.

The Heilig Bogen is the shared inheritance of the Quincy line, with figures such as Uryū Ishida forming one to fight. Given a Quincy Cross, an Arrancar can generate the same weapon by the identical method. In the live-action film, Uryū assembles his bow by splitting his cross into two linked segments that stretch out into a frame taller than he is.
