Kira finishes taking Abirama's head, returns Wabisuke to its sealed shape, and bids the arrancar goodbye with the wish that he never find it in himself to forgive him. Meanwhile, Hisagi and Findorr press on with their fight. Findorr jeers that Hisagi alone looks worn out despite both of them supposedly battling at a lieutenant's level, and when Hisagi bristles, Findorr answers "Exacta," declaring that unless he has misjudged the Gotei 13, Hisagi falls short. Told not to be addressed by rank since he had already given his name, Findorr concedes the discourtesy, notes that self-introduction runs against his own manners, yet introduces himself anyway along with his Zanpakutō, Pinza Aguda.

Asked whether that names an arrancar's resurrection, Findorr again says "Exacta," surprised by Hisagi's knowledge, and Hisagi warns him not to assume only his side gathered intelligence. Findorr severs the ledge beneath Hisagi and the two clash in earnest. Pressed on his constant refrain, Findorr muses that life is only a chain of hard problems, that survival belongs to whoever answers them best, and that everyone therefore craves the right choice. Hisagi wryly asks if that makes Findorr his own answer key, praises the speech, then unfastens an armlet that detonates in the arrancar's face. Seizing the opening, Hisagi casts Bakudō number sixty-two, Hyapporankan, and stakes Findorr to a wall. He calls it finished, but Findorr, warning him not to underestimate him, spits a high-pressure jet that Hisagi barely evades. When Hisagi glances aside to gauge the damage, Findorr scolds the lapse and floods him with a torrent of pressurized streams, forcing Hisagi at last to release his shikai, Kazeshini.

Kira reseals Wabisuke after finishing Abirama. Findorr introduces himself and his sealed Zanpakutō, Pinza Aguda, sharing his "Exacta" survival philosophy. Hisagi's exploding armlet and Hyapporankan bind Findorr. Findorr's high-pressure streams force Hisagi to release Kazeshini for the first time.

The chapter marks the manga debut of Hisagi's shikai, Kazeshini. Its events were adapted across episodes 218 and 219 of the anime, Kira, The Battle Within Despair and Hisagi's Shikai! The Name is....
