Nearby, Ikkaku Madarame squares off with the silent Choe Neng Poww, while Shūhei Hisagi realizes that Findorr Calius has been holding back and watches him crack away pieces of his mask to climb toward a lieutenant's strength.

Kira dodges Abirama Redder's steel-feathered assault, finding that Bakudō and Hadō alike barely faze the Arrancar, whose Águila plumage regenerates instantly. Buying time by felling telephone poles and luring his foe into a tighter space, Kira springs his trap: because Wabisuke only strikes objects, he strikes the very wings, weighting them until Redder plummets from the sky.
