End of the Bond 1

Tsukishima welcomes Ichigo, Ginjo, and Yukio at the door of his mansion. Ichigo lunges for his badge, but Ginjo holds him back, warning that they cannot charge in blindly and must avoid even one cut from the enemy's blade. Claiming to be unarmed and uninterested in a fight, Tsukishima invites them in to talk, and when Ichigo balks at the risk of traps, he points out that any traps would have been laid out in the forest instead.

Inside, Ichigo's friends and family crowd around him and press him to apologize to their supposed friend. Ginjo counsels patience, reasoning that although the group now regards Tsukishima as an ally, they still see Ichigo as one too and will not turn on him. Unwilling to endanger them, Ichigo breaks away from the room, aware that a battle there would drag the others into the crossfire.

Ichigo races upstairs and finds the remaining Xcution members waiting, with Tsukishima appearing behind him to remark on how readily he let himself be encircled. Ginjo shatters the staircase so that only Yukio can follow, telling Ichigo there is no longer any reason to restrain himself. Ichigo unleashes his Fullbring and slices off Tsukishima's left arm, brushing aside the enemy's praise with a vow to kill him. Moments later Sado smashes through a window, and he and Orihime plant themselves between Ichigo and his target, her Shun Shun Rikka circling around her.

The chapter appears in Volume 52, End of Bond, within the Lost Substitute Shinigami arc, and opens the multi-part confrontation named across chapters 455 through 458. It was adapted into the anime as Episode 359, The Sorrowful Battle! Ichigo vs. Sado & Orihime!
