End of the Bond 2

Deaf to Ichigo's protests, Orihime restores the arm he had just cut away, drawing praise from Tsukishima for her skill. Ichigo asks Sado whether he too has been altered, and his friend, unsure of his meaning, questions why Ichigo would attack a man who once helped them so much. Orihime and Sado insist that without Tsukishima they could never have saved Rukia or brought down Aizen, memories the enemy has folded into their minds.

When Ichigo strikes again and sends Tsukishima crashing through a wall, Ginjo tries to give chase but is cut off by a chandelier that drops in his path. Moe steps forward to claim him and the other Fullbringers as Ginjo's opponents, leaving Ginjo baffled as to how the boy toppled the fixture with no visible tool or weapon.

Tsukishima spells out that his Fullbring fabricates new histories, planting his own presence into a victim's past however he chooses. Ichigo notes that this matches Ginjo's deduction, and Tsukishima, caught off guard, concedes he had underrated them, then adds that the past Ichigo lived and the one his loved ones now recall are no longer the same. As Ichigo struggles to absorb the words, Orihime shields Tsukishima and Sado strikes at Ichigo, demanding to know why he fights and insisting he did not earn his strength for this. Ichigo answers that he never gained his powers in order to wound his friends, just as Tsukishima appears before him once more.

Part of Volume 52, End of Bond, this chapter continues the Lost Substitute Shinigami arc and confirms the mechanics of Book of the End. Its events span two anime episodes, Episode 359, The Sorrowful Battle! Ichigo vs. Sado & Orihime! and Episode 360, Ichigo vs Uryu?! Who is the Traitor?!
