Ginji Hiori

Everything about Ginji reads dark, from his hair to his eyes to his overall coloring. Years spent competing in judo at a professional level have left him solidly built.

Ginji never made peace with placing second at the all-Japan judo championships, and that lingering resentment curdles into ambition he forces onto Yo. He treats his son less as a child than as a means of erasing his own regret, demanding the boy reach number one, and his fixation spills over into moments of toxicity toward his wife. Alongside Junko, he goes so far as to tie the marriage itself to Yo's success.

Together with Junko, Ginji bears much of the blame for the hollow, egoless state Yo brings into Blue Lock. Their insistence that their son become the world's best, voiced even as a threat of divorce should he fall short, drains Yo of any drive of his own. That inherited weight only lifts once Yo awakens during the Ubers versus Bastard Munchen match.
